We are looking for an interface manager at the Paris / Nantes location for the implementation of demanding major projects in the field of offshore wind energy in Europe.
The client submits a large part of work to a cable manufacturer via an EPCI contract. The Interface Manager therefore coordinates several contracts (the various internal project participants, customer experts outside the project, the cable laying company, certain customer suppliers, the platform construction site, the owners engineer, etc.) to ensure that the interfaces between the manufacturer are processed by the client within the allotted time.
These interfaces come into play in different phases of the project: engineering, execution and commissioning. The interface engineer reports to the batch manager (chef de lot).
Your main areas of activity:
Establishment and maintenance of current tools for interface management: (e.g. interface management plan, interface register, interface cards)
Continuous updating of the current list of identified interfaces between our customers and their service providers
Ensuring the correct definition of the interfaces
Control of the interface management process and monitoring of all interface changes
Understand, categorize and question interfaces before they are transmitted internally and externally
Contribution to compliance with the contractual processes for interface management in order to minimize the contractual burden on our customers
Ensuring compliance with the interface processing process (timely review of interfaces, forwarding to those involved without loss of time, etc.)
Track and report any deviations by the customer / supplier from the contractual interface processes to the batch manager (chef de lot) and the contract manager
Central contact for the customer for interface management
Ensure good communication between the different actors in the project
Ensure that interface data, including its updates by the project managers in the studies / databases / procedures, are properly taken into account
Participation in interface meetings with suppliers (especially cable manufacturers) and with the customer
Ensuring the introduction and updating of interface milestones in the project plan, which are exchanged with the customer on a monthly basis
Contribution to the monitoring of risks and opportunities in terms of planning, quality and costs in connection with the interfaces
Participation in meetings to review planning and project risks
Contribution to the monthly project report
4/5 years of university education (engineer or postgraduate degree, ideally specializing in electricity or mechanics)
At least 5 years of experience in an equivalent position
Fluency in English and French required (written and oral)
Mastery of engineering and design processes for complex systems (experience with large infrastructure projects required)
A strong technical affinity (ideally in the areas of electrical substations (high and low voltage electrical equipment) and / or offshore platforms and / or offshore work)
Ability to perfectly coordinate and animate all project participants
Communication and listening skills to carry out assignments, taking into account the multicultural dimension and organizational complexity inherent in this type of project
