Overview of Role
The person will join the Cross Barrel Desk to help set up the automated trading execution platform supporting multi broker and multi exchanges (ICE, CME), and setup state of the art execution algorithm to minimize market impact. Alongside the desk Traders and Quants, the successful candidate will be involved in the day to day monitoring of strategies execution and responsible to improve the desk infrastructure robustness.
Develop an automated trading execution platform connected to global exchanges.
Develop and/or integrate trade execution algorithms to minimize market impact.
Develop and enhance the existing analytical tools and databases.
Proactively implement market best practice development cycle (Dev/Test/Prod).
Work closely with current trading team and analysts to monitor daily trading activities.
The individual should have the following experience:
Minimum MSc Degree in Statistics, Computer Science or Finance.
2-5 years of previous similar work experience in trading/commodities house or financial institutions.
Proficiency in Python is a must.
Strong IT skills (SQL and MongoDB. C++, C# or Java would be a plus).
Experience in building automated execution platform is desired.
Previous experience with multi-threading/multi-processing and GPU parallel computing is preferred.
Previous experience with high performance database for time-series data.
Knowledge of financial markets and financial derivatives would be a plus.
Statistics and modeling background (including Classification Algorithms, Machine Learning, etc.) would be advantageous but not necessary.
Inquisitive and meticulous with strong analytical and computational skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently and as a team player.
Ability to work under pressure.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
